This position resides in our Oklahoma City Contact Center, and involves taking inbound calls from AARP members in a team-based environment. Inside Sales Agent responsibilities include: * Taking inbound phone calls from AARP members and selling insurance to meet their homeowner and automobile insurance needs * Providing quotations and counseling on insurance coverage * Applying and adhering to appropriate underwriting guidelines to determine customer eligibility * Cross-selling products and services as they relate to customer needs * Work within established, measurable call center requirements * This position does not require any cold calling * During our paid training program, you must successfully complete training and pass the Oklahoma Property & Casualty licensing exam WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Qualifications include: * High school diploma or equivalent required * Two or more years experience working in a Windows based computer environment required * Advanced multi-tasking ability, ability to assist customer on phone while navigating through 8 programs, windows * Ability to adjust and succeed in a rapidly changing environment * Capability to effectively determine customer needs in order to achieve sales goals * Must be able to work weekends and evenings * Spanish-English bilingual a plus but not required, receive a 5% language adjustment upon taking calls in Spanish WHAT IS THE COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY? At the Hartford, our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay competitive base salaries and reward performance. The starting base salary range for this position is $26,500 to $27,500 plus a 10-15% shift differential depending on schedule. Once training is complete, new hires will have an opportunity to earn up to an additional $ 2,000.00 to their base salaries in their first 12 months, and participate in a monthly service incentive program. ***PAID TRAINING AND BENEFITS BEGIN DAY ONE OF EMPLOYMENT*** WHAT ELSE CAN YOU TELL ME? Our paid training program starts upon day one of employment and prepares you for the position- it is not necessary to have a background in insurance. * Start date:October 29th, xxxx * Traininghours:10:00am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday for 12 weeks, time off is not allowed during training * Work shift:Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm or12:30pm to 9:00pm and every Saturday or Sunday 8:30am to 5:00pm. You will receive a day off during the week when working weekend. Equates to 40 hours a week. Applicant must be able to commit to the work schedule long term.
